Alexandre Birman was destined to create beautiful, handcrafted shoes. “I was raised in a shoe factory — and that’s not marketing, that’s the true story of my life,” he says. He designed his first shoe at the age of 12, beginning an illustrious career in a family business that has dominated the South American footwear market since the 1970’s.
