Selfridges Says: The tale of how Loewe's Anagram emblem came to be is one for the ages. Originally designed in 1970 by Spanish painter Vincente Vela, the originally dubbed 'El Cangrejo' motif took inspiration from the branding irons used to mark the label's leather goods, a cubic rendition of the first letter of the brand's moniker. Today, it continues to proudly feature across the maison's creations, just like on this wool and cashmere-spun jacket, proudly featuring at the chest.
For more than 150 years Loewe specialised in leather and silk. While still renowned for its expertly crafted leather goods, including its now-iconic origami-inspired puzzle fold bags, the range has grown to include a wide range of innovative luxury accessories and ready-to-wear collections that have captured the zeitgeist.
