Selfridges Says: The fashion world's penchant for Parisian knows no bounds. It's already influenced us into donning berets, Breton stripes and even baguettes as accessories, so it was only a matter of a time before their popular breakfast pastry joined the mix – of course, we're talking about the humble croissant. And it's French brand LEMAIRE that creates this cross-body silhouette in an ode to the crescent-shaped roll; its design achieved through an assembly of topstitched cut-outs.
The Lemaire wardrobe is designed to be modular, with supple silhouettes and a soft colour palette allowing outfits to be restyled and accented over time. Collections are produced in Europe, Turkey and Morocco. Bags and leather goods are made in Spain and Italy, where a collaborative effort with artisans has brought novel approaches to age-old techniques.
