You may recognise this bandeau from the COS archives – the womenswear team refreshed the classic silhouette for party season. Crafted from a recycled nylon blend, it has a textured stitch that makes it look slightly ruched and is flecked with metallic yarn that subtly catches the light. Create the illusion of a dress by styling it with the coordinating pencil skirt.
A brand whose aesthetic has been so influential that it’s hard to remember what went before. But when COS launched in 2007 against a backdrop of fast, trend-led fashion, its focus on minimal pieces at accessible prices was a breakthrough moment. With a focus on style over trend, it heralded a new era for interesting, modern, considered design and changed our wardrobes for the better, forever.
'Made with at least 50% EcoJilin viscose and recycled polyamide. EcoJilin viscose is a plant-based silk alternative made from pre-consumer cotton waste. Recycled material reduces waste in the short term and uses fewer natural resources than virgin material.'
